Resumen: This handbook presents ways in which adults can work with non-conforming, challenging or opposing children. The program presented here was designed to help children who have at least a two-year language level or general cognitive development level and who are between the ages of 2 and 12 years. The methods are designed to be used by clinicians with experience in training in the provision of psychological services to families of challenging children. The guide sets out detailed instructions for conducting clinical evaluations and provides a set of interview forms and behavioral rating scales that clinicians can use. The manual specifies the step-by-step procedures that must be followed to carry out an empirically validated program to train parents in the management of children with behavior problems. Provides a set of brochures for parents that will be used during the course of the program. The objective of the program is to improve the management skills and competence of parents to address the problems of child behavior, increase parents' knowledge about the causes of challenging behavior in childhood, improve children's compliance and increase the family harmony.
