Resumen: This book proposes a positive approach to organizational behavior (OB). Although the importance of positive feelings has been recognized over the years in academic OB and popular literature, both management experts and professionals have taken a negative perspective too often: trying to solve managers' problems and the employees and concentrate on the weaknesses. Positive organizational behavior (POB) follows the leadership of emergent positive psychology, which is based on theory and research and focuses on the psychological strengths and capabilities of people. Instead of only retreading and giving a positive turn to traditional OB concepts, this POB presentation establishes specific criteria for inclusion. The positivity not only has to be associated with the concept, but also it must be relatively unique for the OB field. have valid measures, be adaptable to the training and development of leaders / management and human resources and, most importantly, able to contribute to the improvement of performance in today's workplace. The concepts that meet criteria of trust / self-efficacy, hOpe, optimism, subjective well-being / happiness and emotional intelligence (or the acronym CHOSE) are identified and analyzed as the most representative of the proposed POB approach. Special attention is paid to the implications of these POB concepts for the workplace.
